Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by ResKey Grünenfelder. Individual agreements with a customer take precedence where they differ from these terms.

2. Services

ResKey Pro provides collaborative multisig setup and support. The service level and included support depend on the agreed package and the customer’s setup.

ResKey Lite provides a streamlined collaborative multisig arrangement in which ResKey holds one key as part of the agreed multisig setup.

Additional services or support may be agreed separately.

3. Fees and billing

Current prices and package information are shown on the ResKey website or agreed individually with the customer. Unless otherwise agreed, fees are payable in Bitcoin. Any billing interval, minimum or maximum fee and included support are governed by the package or individual agreement applicable when the service is ordered.

4. Self-custody and responsibility

ResKey is designed so that ResKey cannot move a customer’s Bitcoin on its own. The customer remains responsible for protecting and correctly using the keys under the customer’s control.

If the keys required for recovery or spending are permanently lost, recovery may be impossible. A recovery architecture involving an additional key holder is only available where this has been expressly designed and agreed.

ResKey does not guarantee the market value or performance of Bitcoin.

5. Security and cooperation

Customers must follow the agreed security procedures and must never send seed phrases, private keys or other signing secrets through ordinary website forms, email or other channels not expressly designated for that purpose.

6. Cancellation and changes

Cancellation periods, early-termination terms and any pro-rata billing are governed by the customer’s agreed service package or individual agreement. Material changes to ongoing service terms will be communicated in advance where required by the agreement or applicable law.

7. Referral programme

Where a customer participates in a ResKey referral programme, the applicable referral conditions communicated by ResKey at that time apply.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ResKey is not liable for losses resulting from lost or compromised customer-controlled keys, incorrect customer instructions, third-party services, Bitcoin network events or circumstances outside ResKey’s reasonable control. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
